'Merry Christmas' is based on the idea "How does Santa deliver gifts to children?"
The project was made as part of an 'intensive week' at our university.
The main objective of the game is to reach the Christmas tree without getting seen by the kids (or babies) to deliver gifts. The game has 2 procedurally generated main levels (excluding the tutorial).
If the player is doing really well, the levels will become progressively harder. However, if the player’s performance is average, the levels are comparatively easier.

Besides concept planning, level design, and implementation - this project made me understand how an art team functions, and provided me with valuable game art pipeline experience.
I have also had my hand in the sound design department alongside my other responsibilities, but to be honest, besides design work, most of my time went into creating abundant artwork which in reality never ended up in the game because of the time constraints of the project.
PERSONAL COMMENTS
WHAT WENT RIGHT?
-
The procedural generation surprisingly worked well despite our expectations.
-
Had a pretty good workflow among all members working on the game.
-
Basic pixel art skills.
WHAT TO IMPROVE?
-
Few unresolved bugs are still remaining.
-
Not all art assets and SFX created made into the game due to time constraints.
